A Christmas Dilemma

For 35 years, the Houston Tidelanders and Quartets have presented a Christmas Show that, many times, includes a locally scripted, costumed, Christmas-themed story followed by a traditional concert.

The show includes a guest ensemble: The Houston Horizon Sweet Adelines Chorus

This year’s show tells the story of a chorus trying to decide what kind of Christmas Music to include on it’s Christmas Show. As three factions plead their cases, you might see Toy Soldiers Marching on Parade, or see party goers Rocking’ Around the Christmas Tree, or other folks waxing nostalgically about Chestnuts Roasting On An Open Fire. How will they resolve their dilemma? No matter how they do it, the audience will win! They’ll hear many Christmas favorite songs.

After Intermission, both the Houston Tidelanders, under the direction of Ben May, and the Houston Horizon, under the direction of Janet Burnett, will present the best of their a cappella Christmas music in standard concert format. Also, the Ridge Point HS Choir will sing. The show will end with a Grand Finale of the combined Tidelanders and Houston Horizon choruses.
