Latin Week Houston

Flamart (Featuring Latin American Music and Art) is proud to announce the city’s first ‘Latin Week Houston’ – a week celebration of Latin American art. Latin Week Houston’s mission is to present, celebrate and preserve the rich diversity Latin American arts contain. From the indigenous to the Gypsy to the African to the European and beyond, Latin American culture reflects the convergence of world cultures as they happened on the continent. From Grammy Award winner to congressionally recognized to international touring artists, Latin Week Houston’s performers reflect the array of styles and genres that depict the culture. The roster of talented artists includes: Polly Ferman (piano), Eddy Marcano (violin), Alexis Zanety (choreographer), Baden Goyo (piano), Jorge Orta y su Tumbaká (Latin Orchestra), Danza Azteca Aquetzalli (dance ensemble), Paul Boyd (piano), Windsync (music ensemble), Solero Flamenco (music and dance ensemble), Reinaldo Costa (dancer), Alison Greene (soprano), Bielitski Prada (culinary artist), José ‘Layo’ Puentes (bass), Strictly Street Salsa (dance ensemble), Mary Frometa (vocalist), Angel Bermúdez ‘Angelucho’ (vocalist), Juan Pablo Romero (percussion), Raquel Cépeda (vocalist), José Antonio Alvarez (saxophone), Mauricio Oliveros (violin), Intempo Dance (dance ensemble), Alfonso Alarcón (dancer), Lázaro Martínez (percussion, vocalist), Intuitive African Dance and Drum Culture (dance ensemble), Mayra Bullock (dancer), Urban Souls (dance ensemble), Raúl Orlando Edwards (dancer, vocalists), and others.
