Parking and Transportation

We’ve made it easy for you to get to and around Midtown.

You can always drive here, park and walk, ride share, grab a Zipcar, a B-Cycle or ride the METRORail.

Metered parking is available throughout Midtown. Parking is free after 6pm. Monday through Saturday and all day Sunday. Parkmobile offers the option to pay for parking using your smartphone. You can use the mobile app, the Internet or call 1-877-727-5758. In 2017, look for 400 underground parking spaces located at Midtown Park!

Please note that many call the Midtown Cultural Arts and Entertainment District home. So be aware of “Residential Permitted Parking” signs. If you don’t live at that location, you will be towed.

Complimentary shuttle service to the Theater District:

Three METRORail stations (all American Institute of Architecture Honorable Mention design award winners) transport visitors and residents from the north side to the south side of Midtown. On the Red Line, the stations are Downtown Transit, McGowen, and Ensemble. For more on riding the rail in Midtown.

Zipcars can be rented by the hour or by the day. The Zipcar stations are located on Bagby St and McGowen St. Become a member and choose your car, locate, reserve and rent your ride from a mobile app or the website. Here’s how to hit the road in a Zipcar.

Houston B-Cycle is a bike share program with five locations in Midtown. Buy a membership or a pass, download the app or order online. Helmets are required for anyone under 17. Go here first.
