Mid Main First Thursday Benefit Party

Mid Main presents First Thursday, benefitting the Houston Parks Board.  This FREE music, art, and food block party takes place March 7, 2019 in the 3500-3700 blocks of Main Street. Mid Main First Thursday will highlight the vision of the Houston Parks Board – thriving parks and communities for everyone forever – while showcasing the unique creative spirit of the Mid Main Neighborhood, home to a variety of locally-owned bars, clubs, restaurants, boutiques, retailers, and Mid Main Lofts.

The Rubilators will headline the event, performing in the Art Garden. $5 suggested donations for entry are strongly encouraged and all proceeds benefit the Houston Parks Board. Complimentary drinks will be provided by longtime supporters Saint Arnold Brewing Company and Deep Eddy Vodka. The Continental Club and Shoeshine Charley’s Big Top Lounge will each have accompanying acts within their spaces.

In addition to the musical line-up, the businesses of Mid Main will host a variety of games sponsored by the NEO project along with a 9-hole putt-putt golf course in Winbern Street. Urban Harvest will also host an outdoor food market in Winbern Street featuring 10 chefs and restaurants serving an eclectic variety of gourmet fare for the public along with beer samplings compliments of Oasis Texas Brewing Company.

Attendees are encouraged to bike to the event, take the Metro Light Rail, Uber, carpool, or park in the parking garage located at 3550 Main Street, with entrances off of Travis and Holman Streets.
