Miller-Porfiris Duo CD Preview Concert
Come join MP2 for a short concert to kick off the weekend! The violin-viola duo, in residence at the Hartt School at the University of Hartford, will be previewing music of living composers for their as-yet-untitled 4th CD, with the music of Augusta Read Thomas, Bright Sheng, and Krzysztof Penderecki.
Program to include:
Krzysztof Penderecki -Ciaconna “in memoria Giovanni Paolo I”
Bright Sheng -Angel Fire
Augusta Read Thomas -Double Helix for Violin and Viola
Augusta Read Thomas -Rumi Settings
All ticket holders will receive a free download of the CD, and you can submit your suggestions for the album’s title to win an MP2 autographed CD, T-shirt, or travel mug!
