Barbra Riley and Marti Corn at Samara Gallery (FotoFest 2018 Biennial)

Samara Gallery is pleased to present two solo exhibitions in association with the FotoFest 2018 Biennial: The Woods Journal by Barbra Riley and Traveling the Road to Nowhere by Marti Corn.  On view March 2nd – 31st, 2018.  Opening Reception Friday, March 9th, from 6pm to 8pm.

Barbra Riley’s recent relocation to central Texas is the major influence in the artwork she has made since living and working in the natural environment surrounding her. In her exhibition The Woods Journal, Riley presents a poem about this change in her surroundings accompanied by dream-like photographs.

Traveling the Road to Nowhere is a solo exhibition of works honoring those searching for purpose in Kakuma, a refugee camp in Kenya.  Marti Corn calls attention to the refugee crisis through photographs, mixed media, and video works of people currently living in the refugee camp Kakuma, Kenya.
