Craft Community Day
Please join Houston Center for Contemporary Craft for Craft Community Day, a free spring event featuring local artist guilds and community groups.
Visitors of all ages are invited to see a variety of craft demonstrations—previous years have included blacksmithing and metal arts, woodturning, weaving, knitting, ceramics, book arts, and more—and visit the resident artists’ studios, view current exhibitions, and find one-of-a-kind gifts in the Asher Gallery.
- Watch craft demonstrations by a variety of Houston-area artist guilds and community groups
- See the exhibitions on view: Light Charmer: Neon and Plasma in Action and Treachery of Material: The Surrealist Impulse in Craft
- Visit the resident artists’ studios
- Shop for one-of-a-kind gifts and home décor in the Asher Gallery
- Enjoy refreshments from local food trucks
