Dance for Humanity

Celebrating the United Nations International Day of Tolerance Rice University Arts of Tolerance presents Dance for Humanity. Focusing on the importance of co-existence and building on the many benefits cultural diversity brings, Arts of Tolerance performing arts ‘For Humanity Series’ engages performers from around the world to exemplify the beauty and power that is produced when as communities we focus on those things that unify us. The artists for this evening represent many cultures from as far as Asia to Africa to the American continent and beyond. Among them: Dance of Asian America, Danza Azteca Aquetzalli, Intuitive African Dance and Drum Culture, Solero Flamenco, Anajali Center for Performing Arts, Intempo Dance, Shaolin Fung Fu Academy, Urban Souls Dance Company, Reinaldo Costa. Dance for Humanity welcomes world renown Cuban choreographer and master teacher, Alexis Zanety presenting a world premiere for the occasion.
