METROdances: The Holiday Edition

METROdances: The Holiday Edition is a pop up winter performance to get everyone in the holiday spirit. METROdances is meant to shake frames of reference and perception to spark creativity and encourage community as we gather in public spaces. In Houston, a huge metropolitan area known for its car culture, Frame Dance Artistic Director, Lydia Hance, sees this non-traditional display of dance as a way of highlighting the city and, in this public performance, an opportunity to get people to learn about the METRO system. Join us for this pop up winter version of METROdances on two midtown stops on the redline, live music, caroling, dance– an artful, wintery exit into our holiday break. Meet us on the east side of the MATCH to start, the performance will begin at 12:30pm. Performance will end in Midtown Park.
