Lounge on the Lawn

Join us for Lounge on the Lawn in Midtown Park, the first all-day event in the park for residents, Houstonians, and visitors to the Bayou City. Lounge on the Lawn will feature diverse cuisine, live entertainment and family-friendly fun on the lush 30,000 square foot lawn. The event will offer a glimpse into the nearby arts community with live performances by The Ensemble Theatre, MetDance, the Houston Poet Laureate (D.E.E.P.), and Main Street Theater. There will also be interactive samba and capoeira classes with the Brazilian Arts Foundation.

Midtown Park is centrally located, adjacent to the McGowen METRORail Station and easily accessible by bike, foot or vehicle. Parking is available on-site at the Midtown Park Parking Facility, located directly below the park providing 400 spaces for public use and boasts round-the-clock security.

2:45pm: The Ensemble Theatre Houston Performance
5pm – 6pm: ILL Movement hip hop dance session/workshop with ILL TRIBE
7pm – 10pm: Galaxy Gazing with the Houston Astronomical Society
7pm – 8pm: Say Girl Say Performance
8pm – 9pm: The Bright Light Social Hour Performance
9pm – 11pm Silent Party with DJ Baby Roo, DJ Gracie Chavez, and DJ Sun
