Origins

On Saturday, December 8, 2018 at 3:00pm WindSync presents ORIGINS the first concert in its 2018-2019 Series at the Match. The featured work, Antoine Reicha’s ebullient E-flat major quintet, represents the very beginning of classical music for the band’s five instruments. The second half of the program takes inspiration from childhood and folklore and showcases WindSync’s ability to transform music originally written for piano, strings, and even a full orchestra. In each piece, we find a reflection of ourselves, pieces of our own stories and dreams for the future.
