Origins

Apollo Chamber Players continues its 10th Anniversary season with Origins, exploring what inspired us to pursue its folkloric and multicultural focus.  Pre-concert lecture at 7:30pm hosted by St. John Flynn.

The program features composers who inspired Apollo to pursue programmatic concert themes connected to Houston’s and the United States’ cultural diversity, along with the inception of 20×2020.

Special guests include Houston-based composers Karim Al-Zand and Erberk Eryilmaz (20×2020 No. 3 composer), with the premiere of a new commission by Al-Zand honoring our 10th Anniversary.
