ROCO Connections: Rise Up

ROCO’s Connections Series returns to the Asia Society Texas Center. This performance will also be livestreamed free at ROCO.org, Facebook, YouTube, and 440.

Artistic Partner Mei-Ann Chen leads an ensemble of female ROCO musicians in a program featuring two ROCO World Premiere commissions including Richard Danielpour’s <em>Breaking the Veil </em>written for the women of ROCO, inspired the female-led protests in Iran. Also featured will be Quinn Mason’s 19th Amendment which will be performed in collaboration with female dancers from the Houston Contemporary Dance Company.
