String Quintets by Mozart and Dvorak

Musica Tra Amici presents String Quintets by Mozart and Dvorak, featuring musicians of the Houston Symphony and Rice University Shepherd School of Music Faculty.

Musica Tra Amici focuses on providing intimate chamber music performances in a relaxed environment: A house party among friends.

We are very proud to feature some of Houston’s very own world class artists for perform this very special program:
Eric Halen, Co-Concertmaster, Houston Symphony – Violin
MuChen Hsieh, Principal Second Violin, Houston Symphony – Violin (MTA debut)
Joan DerHovsepian, Associate Principal Viola – Viola
James Dunham, Professor of Viola, Rice University Shepherd School of Music – Viola (MTA debut)
Chris French, Associate Principal Cello, Houston Symphony – Cello

Our concerts are held at the MATCH in Midtown Houston. Utilizing the world class musicians that reside here, we present top quality music followed by a reception in which the musicians and concertgoers can mingle while enjoying a light buffet and a complimentary glass of wine.
